In July 2015, I was invited by the Indonesian Ministery of Foreign Affairs to visit Kotamobagu in North-Sulawesi. For their program: “ASEAN Goes to School”, I gave several lectures related to ASEAN-EU educational cooperation. During the one week visit, I spoke with high school students and teachers about what effect the European Union has on the Netherlands and about what the ASEAN Community could mean for Indonesians living in North-Sulawesi. The purpose of ASEAN Goes to School project is to prepare Indonesian students and teachers for the ASEAN Community which will be launched on 31 December 2015.
